That's what SIDN Fund stands for. We invest in bold projects with added societal value that contribute to a strong internet, strong internet users, or that focus on the internet's significance for public values and society.
We fund promising projects
We support impactful initiatives focused on relevant themes such as cybersecurity, data autonomy, disinformation and digital accessibility & inclusion. SIDN Fund does not support internationally oriented projects. To qualify for support, a project should have impact on Dutch society.
We fund two types of calls: themed calls and pioneers. Check the conditions and criteria for each call.
Pioneers
Got a bold idea? Let's hear it! You can submit an open application at any time of year for a pioneering project.
We contribute to initiatives and solutions in 3 areas. Within those areas, we focus on specific, current themes, and we work together with relevant partners to achieve the greatest possible impact. In 2026, we are paying special attention to projects in the Stronger internet area.
Empowerment
Empowerment of adults, youngsters or children by giving them the skills needed to use the internet safely, freely and confidently.
A stronger internet
An open and free internet, which is accessible to all, trusted by the public and seen as a foundation on which to build.
Internet & society
Promoting public values and counteracting the negative effects of internet (mechanisms).
